Abortion Pro Life

Pro-life advocates believe in the sanctity of all life, which includes the child from conception. By definition, conception occurs when the female's egg is fertilized by the male's sperm - marking the beginning of a new life.

Pro-life supporters work to change laws and practices dealing with abortion, euthanasia, and other actions that put an artificial end to human life. In the area of pregnancy, they seek to:

• repeal abortion laws
• support services and programs to help pregnant women who need them
• support post-abortion counseling

among others.

At the federal level, President George W. Bush signed the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003, however, this is a far cry from pro-life goals. At the state level, several states have laws requiring parental permission for a teen abortion, others do not, but all states do have abortion legislation.

National Women's Coalition for Life
